Nutkin's Story
Nutkin arrived at Manaia Kindergarten in September 2007. Our friends in America - (Kindergarten Tales, in Carol Stream, Illinois) - wrote a post on their blog about squirrels. Our children commented that we did not have squirrels in New Zealand - so Cindy and her class sent us our very own squirrel - who we named - Nutkin.
Nutkin is a vital member of our Kindergarten team and has visited many of our children's homes. This blog celebrates Nutkins adventures - as told by the children, families and teachers of Manaia Kindergarten.

Nutkin had a great time when he came to stay at our house, Mummy, Daddy and Ellinor built up the tower whilst Madeline & Nutkin knocked it down. Hopefully he can come to our house again before Madeline goes to school.

What a lovely little bed for Nutkin. I am sure he was very comfortable. I am glad to see he is still able to go out and about to visit with different families. Thanks for sharing his adventures at your house.

What a great time that you have had at kindy. We have loved watching you and how you have progressed since christmas. You were very lucky to have been able to take Nutkin home twice, we are sure that he enjoyed himself. Make sure that you practice with the poi's.
